 ACC

Automatic Climate Control.

Controller Area Network.

 CDC

Compact Disc Changer.

 CDM

Combustion Detection Module.

 DI

Direct Ignition. The DI cassette is mounted in the middle of the camshaft cover.

 DICE

Dashboard Integrated Central Electronics. A computer handling various things like direction indicators and windscreen wipers.

 HID

High Intensity Discharge lights.

 I-BUS

Instrument bus. The CAN bus connecting most of the instrument computers in the car.

 MBC

Moron's Boost Control. A cheap device that prevents the Trionic system from protecting the engine.

 MCC

Manual Climate Control.

 MIU

Main Instrument Unit, the instrument cluster.

 SID

Saab Information Display, the display just above the audio head unit.

 TECH 2

Test computer that can be connected to the car. It is used to read errors, change parameters, and download new software.

 Trionic

Engine management system containing several functions previously done using separate boxes containg electronics.

• Fuel control.
• Ignition control.
• Turbo boost control.

 TWICE

Theft Warning Integrated Central Electronics.

TWICE handles air bags, central locking, keyless entry, theft alarm, theft prevention of various bits, e.g. CD changer.
