 How to use this page

This form can tile images of individual display glyphs together into larger sub-images. The tiling is done by selecting the wanted name of the display set, the color, and the wanted glyph names. The sub-images can then be saved as individual images, joined together into a larger image, or joined together into an animation.

 Step 1: Parameters

Select parameters for the image generation process.

1. How many pixels should be used as horizontal spacing between sub-images when joining.
2. How many pixels should be used as vertical spacing between sub-images when joining.
3. What image file type should be used for the generated displays.
4. Should the control file for the generating program, the tiler, be shown?
5. Should the sub-images be joined together in time, e.g. made into an animated sequence?
6. The number of loops the animation should do when viewed.
7. The number of 1/100:th of a second pause between sub-images in the animated sequence when viewed.

 Step 2: Input sub-image/sub-images

Enter the details of the image/images you want to generate.

1. Select the display set name. For lines other than line 1 above can be selected to reuse the name of the previous sub-image.
2. Select the display color. For lines other than line 1 above can be selected to reuse the color of the previous sub-image.
3. Enter glyph names, from the glyph table, as a space separated list. This means that you can enter:
   1p 2 3 4 blank 1 2
   but you can NOT enter:
   1.234 12
   A vertical bar, |, can be used instead of a glyph name and will insert a horizontal space within the sub-image.
4. Select how the sub-image end should be handled.
   • When the end is set to stop then the sub-image is saved as an image..
   • When the end is set to join then the next sub-image is joined to the right of this sub-image without any horizontal space. This makes it possible to change style or color within a display.
   • When the end is set to space then a space is generated to the right of the sub-image and the next sub-image is joined to the right of it. This makes it possible to include more than one display in the image.
   • When the end is set to new line then a space is generated below the sub-image and the next sub-image is joined below it. Another way to include more than one display in the image.
   Note that up to 8 images are generated unless join, space or new line are used to join sub-images.

 Step 3: Generate

Generate the image/images.

1. Submit your request.
2. View the output from the generation process and the generated images on the new page.
3. Use your browser (e.g. right click) to save the generated image/images.
4. Use your browsers back button to return to this page.
